Hm.
This was originally supposed to be an Okami fanart, but eh.
Uh, lighting fail. again.
There's virtually no visible light source, but judging from the shadows I put on the wolf, let's just assume it's coming from the left.

The fur is a little strange looking, but I'm getting the hang of those longer more tuft-looking bits I think.
A little more practice and I'll be much better.
Paws/legs/middle body are still my worst areas, need to improve there.

The wolf is supposed to be standing on a sort of rock/stone wall type thing, and why there is water there, I have no clue.
I really need to stop drawing water all the time OTL
My water always sucks so bad.

Why are there butterflies there?
I don't know.
Why is one floating in the water?
Again, I don't really know.
There really is no point to this drawing, I kind of wanted to show expression on an animal, but it looks alittle too cartoony. And I also wanted to try to do a full face shot since I don't have one of a wolf in my gallery.

And the clouds are really undetailed, but I liked it that way because it looked kind of like an oil painting in a way.
It just did...

AND IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SAVING YOUR FINAL IMAGE AS A JPG VERSUS PNG?
AS IN, IMAGE QUALITY?
Just wondering.

this is really beautiful!! I love the fur and the sadness in the wolf's face...the butterflies and the sky are gorgeous as well. The only thing I would say is that you probably could have cropped it a little closer to the wolf on either side...it would help the viewer focus more on the wolf...but it is still wonderful work!! :D

Oh, and all I know about the whole .jpg vs .png thing is that DA wouldn't let me upload a .png :confused: I don't think there's too much difference in quality though.

Ah, I see what you mean by cropping it too, it does look a little unbalanced >A<

Hmm...well I've seen other people say they upload PNG files, but if there's no real difference I guess I won't switch to using them :XD:
